On Thursday, April 4, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco will host its highly anticipated annual gala and “Late Night” after-party at the de Young Museum. This exclusive event promises an evening filled with art, entertainment, and philanthropy, granting attendees access to remarkable artworks beyond regular visiting hours.
Honorees of the Evening
This year’s gala will honor prominent figures in the arts and philanthropy: renowned artist Lee Mingwei, Darren Walker, the President of the Ford Foundation, and London Breed, the Mayor of San Francisco. The event will be chaired by Mary Beth and David Shimmon and will feature a cocktail hour, a seated dinner, and a program recognizing the honorees.
Late Night After-Party Highlights
Following the gala, the “Late Night” festivities will commence from 9 p.m. to midnight. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the museum galleries, engage with pop-up installations by local Bay Area artists, and enjoy a variety of live performances. Headlining the evening will be DJ Christie and the acclaimed music artist Sudan Archives, making for a lively night full of dancing and celebration.
