San Francisco, CA — A new museum dedicated to preserving and showcasing Chinatown’s rich history and culture opened its doors today. Located on Grant Avenue, the Chinatown Heritage Museum features exhibits on immigration, activism, and the contributions of Chinese Americans to San Francisco.
“This museum honors the resilience and vibrancy of our community,” said curator Mei Ling Wong.
The opening ceremony included traditional lion dances and speeches from community leaders. Admission is free for residents during the first month.
