Operation Save A Life: Enhancing Fire Safety Awareness
Published on: Tuesday, November 19, 2024
In an initiative aimed at bolstering fire safety across communities, ABC7 has partnered with Kidde and The Home Depot to launch
Operation Save A Life. This program is designed to promote fire prevention education and provide essential safety resources
to those in need.
Impact of Operation Save A Life
Operation Save A Life has made significant strides since its inception, with Kidde contributing over
1.5 million smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors to various fire departments. The initiative aims to reach
vulnerable populations, including those residing in low-income housing, by distributing educational materials and important safety products.

Local fire departments also offer free smoke and carbon monoxide alarms as part of this initiative, ensuring that households can
remain safe from potential fire hazards.
Community Engagement
The program encourages community members to take proactive steps towards fire safety. Individuals are urged to reach out to
their local fire departments for information on acquiring free smoke or CO alarms.
