San Francisco, CA — Several tech companies in the Bay Area have begun a four-day workweek pilot program, part of a growing movement to improve work-life balance and employee productivity. Companies like Slack, Asana, and smaller startups are participating in the six-month trial, which allows employees to work 32-hour weeks with no reduction in pay.
Initial feedback from employees has been overwhelmingly positive. “It’s amazing what you can accomplish with better focus and a healthier work-life balance,” said Slack engineer Rachel Wong.
The results of the pilot will help shape future workplace policies across the tech industry.
