This match took place on Sunday night during the quarterfinals of the West Coast Conference Tournament (WCC).

With this win, the third-seeded Dons (24-8) advance to face the second seed, Gonzaga, in the semifinal matchup scheduled for Monday. The top-seeded Saint Mary’s will compete against the ninth-seeded Pepperdine in the other semifinal.

Beasley, who had been averaging just 7.7 points per game prior to this contest and shooting 26% from beyond the arc, noticeably upped his game, hitting 4 of 8 attempts from three-point range. Supporting him were Malik Thomas, who contributed 18 points alongside six rebounds, as well as Tyrone Riley IV and Junjie Wang, both of whom added 10 points to the scoreboard, with Wang securing an additional 10 rebounds.
