San Francisco, CA — The San Francisco Zoo announced a new biodiversity conservation initiative aimed at preserving endangered species and protecting habitats in the Bay Area. The project will focus on native species such as the California red-legged frog and the Western monarch butterfly.
Zoo officials unveiled plans for habitat restoration, breeding programs, and educational outreach to engage the community in conservation efforts. “This is about safeguarding our natural heritage for future generations,” said Zoo Director Tanya Peterson.
The initiative is part of the zoo’s broader mission to combat the effects of climate change and habitat loss.
