San Francisco Increases Funding for Small Business Resilience
San Francisco, CA – In the wake of recent economic challenges and severe weather, the city announced a $20 million Small Business Resilience Fund to help local businesses recover and adapt. The fund will provide grants and low-interest loans for flood repairs, inventory losses, and other emergency needs.
“Small businesses are at the heart of San Francisco’s neighborhoods, and we must ensure they thrive,” said Mayor Carla Alvarez. The program will prioritize businesses in flood-affected areas and those owned by historically underserved communities.
Business owners expressed relief at the announcement. “This funding is a lifeline,” said Raul Sanchez, owner of a café in the Mission District. Applications for the program open next week.
