The World Culture Film Festival (WCFF) has returned to Los Angeles for its second edition, running from June 26 to 29, 2025. Hosted by the Art of Living Foundation, this year’s festival continues its mission of showcasing “entertainment that uplifts,” bringing together filmmakers, artists, and audiences from around the globe to celebrate the transformative power of cinema.
A Global Tapestry of Films
With over 60 films from more than 60 countries, the WCFF offers a diverse lineup that spans various genres and themes. The festival aims to highlight stories that inspire, educate, and foster cross-cultural understanding. Notable screenings include the Oscar-shortlisted film “Laapataa Ladies” directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan, as well as “The Performance,” featuring special guests Chet Lowe and Jeremy Piven. The opening night featured a special screening of “Rule Breakers,” followed by a Q&A session with lead actors Amber Afzali, Nina Hosseinzadeh, and Sara Malal Rowe.
Engaging Panels and Workshops
Beyond film screenings, the WCFF offers a range of panels and workshops designed to engage attendees in meaningful discussions about the role of cinema in society. Panel topics include “Crossover Creators: Where Cinema Meets Influence” and “On the Pulse: Culture in Motion and Shaping the Next Generation.” These sessions feature filmmakers, industry professionals, and thought leaders who share insights into the creative process and the impact of storytelling on global audiences.
A Mission Rooted in Unity and Inspiration
Inspired by the vision of humanitarian and peace ambassador Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the WCFF seeks to transcend cultural boundaries and promote unity through the arts. The festival is part of a broader initiative by the Art of Living Foundation, which has impacted over 800 million people in more than 180 countries through various humanitarian efforts.
Accessible to All
The WCFF is committed to making its programs accessible to a wide audience. In addition to in-person events held at venues like the Art of Living Foundation in Los Angeles, the festival offers virtual passes for those who wish to participate remotely. Ticket options range from single-day passes to all-access VIP packages, ensuring that attendees can tailor their experience to their interests and availability.
Looking Ahead
As the WCFF continues to grow, it remains dedicated to its core mission of elevating human consciousness through cinema. By providing a platform for diverse voices and stories, the festival fosters empathy, understanding, and a shared appreciation for the richness of global cultures.
