Turtle Tower to Reopen in the Financial District
Details of the Reopening
After closing its doors in the fall of 2023, Turtle Tower, a beloved Vietnamese restaurant, is preparing to make a comeback in mid-February. The new location will be situated at 220 California Street, previously occupied by Barbacco.
An Enhanced Experience
According to KTVU, the revamped restaurant aims to offer a more elevated dining experience in line with its iconic downtown setting. The interior will showcase new murals and photographs that pay tribute to the restaurant’s rich legacy.
Menu Highlights
While loyal customers can look forward to the classic pho recipe that has won hearts, the menu will also feature exciting new items inspired by traditional Hanoi street food.
Outlook for the Future
The restaurant’s owner, Steven Thang Pham, alongside managing partners Hilwin Wong and Ghanadan, is optimistic about revitalization in downtown. They hope to draw customers who may have previously been reluctant to visit their locations in the Tenderloin and SoMa neighborhoods.
