San Francisco Food Banks Distribute Record Donations for Thanksgiving
San Francisco, CA – Ahead of Thanksgiving, local food banks reported record donations this year, enabling them to distribute meals to over 50,000 families in need. Volunteers worked tirelessly to deliver food boxes containing turkeys, vegetables, and other holiday staples.
“San Francisco’s generosity is unmatched,” said Daniel Wong, director of the SF-Marin Food Bank. The organization partnered with community groups to ensure that vulnerable populations, including seniors and low-income families, had access to Thanksgiving meals.
Recipients expressed deep gratitude. “This means the world to my family,” said Mission District resident Carla Ramirez. The food bank plans to continue support through the holiday season with additional distributions in December.
