Third Annual SF Pizza, Bagel & Beer Festival Set for August 16
Mark your calendars for August 16, as the much-anticipated SF Pizza, Bagel & Beer Festival returns to North Beach. This food extravaganza, known for its all-you-can-eat offerings, promises to be a highlight of the summer, and tickets are now available for purchase. Previous years have seen swift sell-outs, so interested attendees are encouraged to act fast.
About the Festival
Established to promote the diverse culinary scene in San Francisco, the festival has quickly become a beloved event, celebrated for its fun atmosphere and community spirit. The founder, Tony Gemignani, a 13-time World Pizza Champion and owner of the acclaimed Tony’s Pizza Napoletana, has played a pivotal role in its success.
“Pizza, Bagel & Beer Festival was established to highlight our city’s dynamic food and beverage offerings, celebrate our incredible community, and enjoy a spirited afternoon within one of the most iconic neighborhoods,” said Gemignani. “To have the opportunity to bring it back for a third year is a dream come true.”
Festival Highlights
The festival features over 65 participating local pizzerias, bagel spots, and breweries. Attendees can indulge in a variety of pizza and bagel offerings while enjoying craft beers from renowned local breweries.
- Local Pizza Vendors: Notable names include Tony’s Pizza Napoletana, Goat Hill Pizza, Il Casaro, and Little Original Joe’s.
- Bagel Shops: Guests can expect to see Dago Bagel, Kaz Bagels, and BagelMacher among others.
- Breweries: Popular choices include Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas, and Fort Point, along with non-alcoholic selections.
Admission Details
The entry fee for the festival is $90, which includes unlimited pizza and bagel samples from noon to 4 PM, along with four beer tasting tickets. For families, there are reduced-rate tickets for children. Additionally, VIP tickets are available for those who wish to enjoy early entry, exclusive access to an open bar, and charcuterie stations.
Ooni Pizza Championship
This year, the festival will also host the second annual Ooni Pizza Championship, providing a competitive platform for pizza makers to showcase their skills and creativity.
