As Buckhead Restaurant Week wrapped up on July 26, 2025, Atlanta’s food calendar rolled straight into Peach Week (July 21–26), spotlighting Georgia’s iconic fruit with more than 20 metro‑area restaurants featuring peach‑infused dishes—think peach‑prosciutto ice cream, charred peach gazpacho, peach‑scallops risotto, and cornbread panzanella.
The grand finale, PeachFest, unfolded on July 27 at Peachtree Center Plaza in Downtown Atlanta. Now in its 11th year, the festival brought together over 65 chefs, mixologists, artisans, and farmers for an all-inclusive tasting event that ran from 3 p.m. (VIP entry) and 4 p.m. (general admission) through 7:30 p.m.
Peach Week kicked off in collaboration with Pearson Farm, which donated fresh peaches from its Fort Valley orchard. Participating restaurants contributed a portion of their proceeds to CURE Childhood Cancer, adding a charitable component to the culinary celebration.
The dishes spanned a wide range of styles—from Southern comfort fare at Miller Union to seafood‑fruit fusions and BBQ innovations at Sweet Auburn Barbecue. Drink menus also embraced the theme, with bars and restaurants crafting peach‑infused wines, beers, and cocktails.
At PeachFest, guests sampled from curated tasting stations, watched chef-led cooking demos, engaged with brand installations, and bid in a silent auction. VIP ticket holders gained early access and exclusive entry to the VinoTeca Luxe Wine Lounge. The event also included a promotional sweepstakes featuring a $20,000 prize package of grills, hotel stays, and culinary experiences.
Proceeds from PeachFest benefited Piggy Bank, a nonprofit that aids small farms through education and disaster relief programs.
More than just a peach party, the event underscored Georgia’s growing momentum in season-to-table dining. By showcasing local produce through inventive dishes, PeachFest amplified pride in regional agriculture and sustainable sourcing. It also illustrated how food festivals can merge creativity with community benefit.
Chefs and mixologists brought flair to their menus, offering everything from savory‑sweet combos to playful desserts. These included Miller Union’s cornbread panzanella, Birdcage’s charred peach gazpacho, ENZO’s peach and scallops risotto, Sweet Auburn Barbecue’s peach and Chinese mustard‑glazed ribs, The Pub @EAV’s peach‑prosciutto ice cream, and Kitty Dare’s peach‑accented labneh.
These creations generated excitement across Atlanta’s dining scene, mixing nostalgic flavors with cutting-edge technique.
While Peach Week and PeachFest were the centerpieces, they formed part of a broader summer lineup. The Halal Food Festival, held July 19 at Atlantic Station, featured over 50 vendors and spotlighted Atlanta’s multicultural dining landscape. Coming up next, the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival is scheduled for September 11–14 with a “States of Motion” theme, and Smorgasburg Atlanta is launching in October as an open-air market with 40+ vendors in South Downtown.
Atlanta’s summer culinary events reveal a city embracing food as art, identity, and advocacy. Peach Week and PeachFest stand out not just for their flavors but for their celebration of regional heritage and community values. With support for small farms, childhood cancer research, and local artisans, the events go beyond the plate—making peaches a symbol of Southern innovation and solidarity.
