San Francisco, CA — The city’s iconic Bay to Breakers race returned today, drawing over 50,000 participants in a colorful display of athleticism and community spirit. The 12-kilometer race, known for its wacky costumes and celebratory atmosphere, began near the Embarcadero and finished at Ocean Beach.
Runners, walkers, and costumed groups filled the streets, creating a festival-like vibe. “This is more than a race—it’s a San Francisco tradition,” said participant Lisa Park, dressed as a giant pineapple.
The event raised funds for local charities and featured live entertainment along the route.
