City Partners with Nonprofits to Launch Holiday Meal Delivery Program
San Francisco partnered with local nonprofits to deliver free holiday meals to over 50,000 low-income residents and seniors. The program, funded by a mix of public and private donations, will distribute hot meals and grocery boxes throughout the city.
“No one should go hungry during the holidays,” said Mayor London Breed while helping to deliver meals in the Tenderloin. Volunteers prepared and delivered the meals, ensuring residents in need could celebrate the holiday season with dignity.
Recipients expressed gratitude, with many highlighting the importance of community-driven initiatives. Organizers hope to expand the program in future years to reach even more families.
