San Francisco Art Museum Hosts Free Admission Week for Residents
San Francisco, CA – The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) announced a free admission week for all city residents starting today, offering a cultural reprieve amid earthquake recovery efforts. The initiative aims to provide a space for reflection and inspiration.
“We believe art has the power to heal and unite communities,” said SFMOMA Director Laura Espinoza. Featured exhibits include Art and Algorithms, exploring the intersection of AI and creativity, and a retrospective on Bay Area artist Ruth Asawa.
Visitors expressed appreciation for the gesture. “After everything the city has been through, this is exactly what we need,” said attendee Julia Chang. The museum has extended operating hours to accommodate the expected surge in visitors.
