San Francisco Holds Largest Toy Drive for Families in Need
San Francisco hosted its largest holiday toy drive yet, collecting over 100,000 toys for families in need. The drive, organized by local nonprofits and city agencies, culminated in a festive event at Civic Center Plaza, where families received toys, clothing, and food boxes.
“No child should wake up without a gift during the holidays,” said Supervisor Shamann Walton, who helped distribute toys at the event. Donations came from businesses, schools, and individual residents, with a significant contribution from tech companies.
Families expressed gratitude for the support, with many praising the event’s cheerful atmosphere and sense of community. Organizers hope to surpass this year’s numbers in 2025.
