San Francisco Lights Up for the Holidays with Pier 39 Celebration
San Francisco, CA – The holiday season officially began at Pier 39 tonight with the lighting of its iconic Christmas tree, a 60-foot-tall masterpiece adorned with thousands of LED lights and ornaments. The event featured live music, performances by local choirs, and appearances by Santa Claus.
“This is a tradition that brings joy to everyone in San Francisco,” said Tourism Director Jaime Leal. Families and tourists gathered in droves, enjoying festive treats and holiday shopping at the waterfront’s many shops.
The celebration concluded with a fireworks show over the Bay, drawing cheers from the crowd. “It’s magical, especially after the challenges we’ve faced this year,” said visitor Amanda Torres. The tree will remain lit every evening through January.
