San Francisco Prepares for Lunar New Year Parade
San Francisco, CA – The city is gearing up for its annual Lunar New Year Parade, set to take place this weekend in Chinatown. This year’s parade, celebrating the Year of the Dragon, promises vibrant floats, cultural performances, and a 268-foot-long golden dragon centerpiece.
“San Francisco’s Lunar New Year Parade is one of the largest and most cherished events of its kind in the country,” said Parade Director Mei Wong. Over 100 groups, including marching bands and lion dance teams, will participate in the celebration.
Local businesses in Chinatown anticipate a boost in foot traffic and sales as visitors flock to the neighborhood. “The energy during Lunar New Year is unmatched,” said Ling Wu, owner of a family-run bakery. The event will also include a firework display and a street fair.
