Vice President Kamala Harris was in San Francisco on Monday night to continue a vacation she started in Hawaii.
But swirling around the former Democratic presidential candidate are questions about what she’ll do next. It’s been less than a month since Harris lost to Donald Trump, but speculation about where she’ll go next is already hot and heavy.
Harris, who has been under tight security in San Francisco, will leave the White House in less than two months.
But will she fight for reelection in the White House, as some have speculated, or for the governor’s mansion here in California?
NBC Bay Area political analyst Larry Gerston said Harris will be asking herself questions in the coming months.
“Which path do I want? The one where I’m most likely to succeed is the governorship, or the highest office in the world, the presidency, but that choice offers far less security.” he said.
