San Francisco, CA – On Earth Day, the city released its 2024 Climate Action Progress Report, highlighting significant milestones toward its goal of carbon neutrality by 2040. The report revealed a 22% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions since 2015, thanks to initiatives in clean energy and transportation.
“San Francisco is proving that bold climate action works,” said Environmental Director Lisa Martinez. Upcoming plans include expanding solar energy programs and increasing public transit options.
