San Francisco, CA – The San Francisco International Film Festival closed its 2024 edition with a spotlight on local filmmakers, premiering a record 20 films from Bay Area creators. The event, which ran for two weeks, drew audiences from across the globe.
“This festival proves that San Francisco remains a cultural and creative powerhouse,” said Festival Director Marla Rivera. The audience-favorite award went to Golden Gate Shadows, a thriller set in the city and directed by local filmmaker Carlos Hernandez.
