San Francisco Giants Announce New Stadium Sustainability Initiative
San Francisco, CA – The San Francisco Giants revealed plans to make Oracle Park the most sustainable stadium in Major League Baseball by 2026. The initiative includes installing solar panels, expanding water recycling systems, and transitioning to 100% compostable food packaging.
“This is about leading by example in the fight against climate change,” said Giants CEO Larry Baer. The team will also partner with local nonprofits to offset the carbon footprint of fan travel and game-day operations.
Fans and environmentalists applauded the move. “It’s great to see our favorite team making a real difference,” said season ticket holder Andrea Nguyen. The upgrades will begin during the off-season and continue over the next two years.
