San Francisco, CA – San Francisco’s world-famous Lombard Street will soon require visitors to pay for a timed reservation to drive down the “crookedest street in the world.” Starting June 1, the system will charge $10 per vehicle to manage congestion and preserve the historic area.
Residents have long pushed for the change, citing safety and overcrowding. While some tourists expressed disappointment, others supported the effort to maintain the street’s charm. Pedestrians can still walk the street free of charge.
