San Francisco, CA — Thousands of residents participated in the city’s largest-ever earthquake preparedness drill today, simulating a 7.5 magnitude earthquake scenario. The drill included evacuation exercises, emergency response coordination, and public education events.
“This is about saving lives,” said San Francisco Fire Chief Jeanine Nicholson. “The more prepared we are, the better we can respond to a real disaster.”
City officials encouraged residents to create emergency kits and familiarize themselves with evacuation routes.
